Professional Experience

My professional career has been devoted to working with students in the field of Higher Education for the past 14 years. I have experience with large public universities and small private colleges. My time has been split between college admission counseling and academic advising. I have counseled prospective students and parents through the college admissions process, navigated financial aid applications, and advised students on academic major selections.

Research

My primary area of research focuses on students in transition from high school into their post-secondary plans. The method that students use to choose academic majors and colleges can be a challenging and overwhelming task. Many students are not properly informed and can make selections based on a limited scope of knowledge, research, and experience. Providing students with support and resources during this transitional period can cultivate future academic success.
